In this session, we will highlight recent Challenge Success survey data about student well-being, engagement, and belonging, and we will model tools for data-driven decisionmaking to solve common student challenges. Join us to learn how to do “pulse checks” at your own school and to consider school and classroom changes that will help students thrive.

In this session, you’ll connect with fellow administrators, explore how to sustainably guide school change efforts, and discuss ways to navigate common roadblocks that might emerge.

This session will provide educators with actionable insights into fostering deeper comprehension and the ability to apply knowledge in new contexts. By adopting ten teaching and learning habits, participants will learn how to cultivate an environment that moves beyond superficial understanding, promoting critical thinking skills and adaptability. We will delve into the principles of dispositional learning, surface learning, deep learning, and transfer learning, offering a comprehensive framework to guide educators in redefining rigor in their classrooms.

The college admissions process can be a source of stress and anxiety for students and parents/caregivers alike. This research-based workshop addresses many of the important questions we hear from families, such as: What do college rankings really measure? Are students who attend more selective colleges better off later in life? What is “fit” and why does it matter? We will emphasize the importance of students discovering their own path to success that matches their unique goals and interests. Participants will learn practical strategies to help reduce unnecessary pressure around the college admissions process and ways to support their student’s overall well-being and readiness for life in college and beyond.

Drawing from his experience co-creating the musical, Ranked, Kyle will demonstrate how the collaborative process gave students a platform to discuss academic pressures and other issues affecting their well-being.
