We know that one area where schools can improve students’ experiences is engaging them in rigorous, authentic assessments that provide opportunities for students to lead their own learning experiences. Through performance assessments, students learn how to reflect, revise, and communicate in ways that strengthen learning outcomes. Participants will learn the characteristics of performance assessment and observe students engaged in a defense of learning.
